Should I go to the regular middle school and stay with my friends...or go to the alternative school where they special in arts, music, drama (so me!)?

I think you should go to the alternative one.
I know you're comfortable and what not with your friends. But once you settle in the other school, you'll make more friends and it won't be as bad as you think. And besides, you'll benefit more because the school specializes in what you want to do. Good luck.

Check out the alternative school. You can stay in touch with old friends and make new ones with your interests. Years from now, you will likely know or remember few of your middle school friends but the choices of your life stay forever.
