We are both divorced and have teenage children. We have been dating, but I find myself wanting to know if he is exclusively with me. I have personally chosen to be with him exclusively, but don't know how to word it with him without offending him. We are both very outgoing, busy people and I don't feel that it is a matter of trust because we have never agreed to be exclusive, nor have we ever stated that we were still dating others. I would like to know if we have stepped up to the next level, or is he content with the present relationship. We have good communication skills but I just can't seem to frind the right words to tell him, or ask him without worring that I will overstate my expectations of our relationship. We have both been terribly hurt in out past marriage and I don't want to scare him off by stating it wrong. Do guys have a way to read their feeling about this without having to ask straight out? please reply with mature genuine answers. Thanks in advance.

His response as a man is different , also it depends on how deep wounded he was , in both those factors affect , men comming out of the frustration of not being-"able"- to sustain the rol of good husbands, parents, providers, etc , have a little more problem just opening up ,it's not just _"I wont let anyone hurt me again..."_ , is ' - I need to make sure I am going to be able to things well done this time without hurting or being hurted"_, many men and women under these circumstances need a more opened way of talking, more honest , and trust must be a deal ,trust in each other and acknowledgement of each other need of it , you cant go trying to get in another relationship being " on garde" , well , many men do ,so ,if youre a sensitive woman in that aspect , tell him - I want to talk to you about a deep topic ,that involve ...us - he wont feel pushed ,he will feel trusted .

You are both grown adults. And if you are having sex with him, however, you are having a problem finding the words to ask him if he is dating and sleeping with anyone else. This is not a good thing. You should simply ask him straight. There is no other way, most men do not read minds and or catch on to signals very well. I doubt this would upset him if you asked him and it doesn't mean anything other than you are in a relationship and what to know where you stand, and you should. So, just get yourself together and ask him as straight as possible, are you dating anyone else other than me? And let him know that you have decided that you are not. He probably will be glad you brought it up, he is probably having the same feelings as you. Good luck and God bless****
