Take it back to them with your bill. Let them tighten it up or replace the washer on the drain plug before they tighten it. Complain on a sloppy job.

Try tightening the plug on the oil pan. If that doesnt work, get a washer to fit on the plug bolt. Costs about a quarter.

Oil on the oil filter housing may be from the oil change. If its fresh, then the filter needs to be tightented by hand.

Dont go back to firestone.

VW's have a aluminium oil pan. most quick lube places tend to over torque (tighten) drain plugs and strip the threads. thats the worst case scenario. if you're lucky it was just left loose.
the oil filter housing is accually an oil cooler. and coolant runs through it to cool the oil. its posible that the seal is leaking and thats why you see the oil or they just did a messy job of changing your filter. and didnt clean it up afterwards. hope this helps you out some, good luck.

The next time you have the oil changed have them replace the washer and torque the plug properly. The oil filter can be tightened slightly.

Not put back on right! SOMEONE didnt clean up around the pplug area, so you got all that gunk and crap settling at the bottom by the drain, and just interfered with the tight fit...

Or not tight enough, the person who did this was obviously a retard and should never be allowed to work on a car again!
