keep it trimmed. Not drastic trimming, just enough to take off the split ends and thinning ends. Hair breakage keeps hair from getting longer.
Also, some people's hair grows faster, and some people will never have really long hair but shoulder length should be attainable by all.

Thhis is what i used Biolage, Hair Serum or really the generic version and used a flatener I do this once a week .Then at night i braid it loose tight what ever as long as you braid it. I cut the tips of my hair i mean i cut like i would say about half of an eyelash.and I dont see a difference but alotof people always say how long my hair is and how shiney.
Have you ever used a flattener. its takes time beauty always does.

The only thing you can really do is.. wait. If you like insist on having your hair down to your shoulders, you could always get hair extentions. Either braided ( you can get natural colours that match your hair and colourful ones to.. looks awesome!) or you can just get normal hair extentions. If you have curly hair and you find it too thick you can get it permently straightened ( well until it grows out).. good luck!

What I do is get braids in my hair and keep them in for 3 months and do a pattern with washing my hair one day then greasing my scalp the next day in a pattern day by day. That way you giving your hair a break and supplying it with the nutrients it need. Also I take vitamins as well. You can also try prenatal vitamins too :)

slick it back and hold it down until it does. you didn't state at what length it's at right now. use lots of gel in the meantime.
