Canon Lide 80 Scanning Problem Lines on Image?

Hi, I have a canon Lide 80 used on a windows XP computer. Everytime I make a scan there is one thin black line going vertical and another going horizontal. What can I do to keep these lines from appearing.

Hi. Are they at the edge? They could just be the limits of the scan range. Try scanning a document with a piece of white paper overlapping the corner of the document to see if this can be corrected. Check for auto-crop and try different settings. Or crop with image software. Good luck?
