In arabic Bint means daughter, bin means son.
for example
Bin laden
Bint laden

The only person I have ever known to use this word is Andy Capp. It is Northern slang for a woman and I believe it is Arabic for woman.

So now you know. Its a derogatory term for a girl/woman. Its more commonly used in Central Scotland. We think of women differently to most. Some of us even marry them!

not complimentary, but there's nothing specifically horrible about it

"that stupid bint said..." etc. Doesn't imply sexual preferences, diseases, class, religion, whatever; just "some woman who happens to be irritating me right now".
