Dogs are pack animals which rely upon each other's skill to hunt. Hence loyalty, obedience, sense of leadership and subordination are the past of their survival instincts.
Cats on the other hand are predators who hunt and feed solo. They are thus more self centered.

cats are very arrogant beings, most of them act as though the world revolves around them, as for dogs they seem grateful for anything and everything. Nice, good dogs that is.
