yes!! im doing it right now. its like at the back of my mind my brain thinks i wont eat for a long time so it trys to eat as much as it can before i dont eat.

It makes sense to, after starving like that your body needs food. It makes sense mentally and it makes sense physically as the body will likely be depleted of vitamins, minerals and everything else.
However if this is a long period after stopping the anorexic behaviour it could just be a compulsion. Whereas before the focus was on losing weight, now it's about a certain food.
Something that might help is if you know you have a problem food, only use it as a reward, eat something healthy first and then you'll load up on less of the reward food(if it's ice cream or something).

I'm a recovering anorexic. I, for one, overeat at random intervals throughout the week. Each person has certain food triggers, and emotions have a lot to do with that. Also, I think our perception of overeating is distorted. We've been hungry so long, any substantial amount of food is overwhelming.

For some yes....your mind has been deprived of food for a while...and there for trys to make up for it by over eating, even if your stomach isn't ready to handel it yet.
