I tottally agree. I couldn't ask for more of a better death than dying in honor. Thats why I can't just two more years and I will be in Iraq. What do you guys think?

I am 59 years old, I was a medic in a combat zone. Then I was a nurse. In all those years I never saw a "good" death. Do what you feel is right but remember the purpose of war is to make the other side die for their country. Live forever, it is one of my goals.

Wait a minute - you lay into the guy who wants to join just so he can operate a rocket launcher... and then you come here and say that dying in Iraq is as good as it gets?

I think you are way out there and need to see a shrink!

If you want to die in an illegal war, that's your choice! I was just wondering, if you really did you should join the Army and not the Air Force.

Aren't you making the government complicit in assisting a suicide?

If you die, it is not in honor. You will be fighting for the men next to you, not for your flag. They will be dying for eachother, not for your flag. That is just a driver that they give you - Once in battle, you don't say "Well, I'm gonna go kill some SOB's because they angered the Republican party." You do it so the people around you don't die.

No death is best, but if one must die valiantly it is a good way to do it. The only way to die dishonorably is when committing a crime or through capital punnishmint.

although I admire your dedication, lol, why not just live honorably while in Iraq then come home live a long life and die peacefully in your sleep?? Doesn't that sound better?
Trust me honey, dying in Iraq is nothing your troop wants to witness.

Well it is a lot better than dying in a car wreck, plane crash, or getting murdered in a US city.
