You should keep your clothes from rubbing the colour off. Maybe go without underwear and wear loose pants.

ok dont listen to the people that say leave the bandages on for a couple of days... DONT! It needs air to heal. Some access ink will rub off at the begining and it may peel. The thing is to keep peeling to a minimum because when you pill you are loosing ink. Put lotion on as much as possible. once every hour is good. use frangrance free lotions such as curel. dont use any other ointments besides what the tattoo artist gave you and frangrance free lotion. If it worried you too much you might want to see a tattoo artist they are always willing to take a look and help in any way.

I don't think that's the tattoo ink coming off. It is probably just from the stencil. Even if you lose color on your tattoo, most shops offer touch-ups for free. (I'd slip the artist a tip, though) Another bit of advice is to not have tight clothing covering your tattoo until it heals. Anything rubbing on it might cause the tattoo to not heal properly. Try going commando, even if it feels weird, and wear loose fitting pants for a week or so. Don't cover your healing tattoo with bandages or gauze either. It's best to just apply whatever ointment your artist told you to use, then leave it alone. Don't pick at the scab or scratch at it. It will itch, but try hard not to touch it.

Yes, some of the ink will come off, especially the first couple of days. I suggest keeping it covered with a gauze because the skin will be very sensitive for a few days.

Yes it is normal, but you want to make sure you keep the tattoo clean and coated with tattoo goo or some other anti-bacterial ointment. Since it is on the hip I would put some sort of no stick gauze on it to keep under ware from rubbing it raw and pulling scabs away that weren't ready to come off.

listen to alicia l. she knows whats she's talking about.
Its just the extra ink thats being rejected, but if you do have clothes rubbing on it for the first couple of days, it may take longer to heal and cause some discoloration. all in all, keep it well moisturized with non sented lotion. And enjoy it beauty!

It's ok. If you are using an antibiotic cream or moisturizer, the ink will come off with it. This will soon stop. I got ink on my pajama top and it took quite a bit of soaking and washing to get it to come out.

You just need to wipe better.......J/K.

Excess ink will come off the surface of the new tat for a day or so. It's all good.

thats normal, but i would suggest not having anything rubbing against the tat because it can take the color away and mess up the design.
