Ok so my schools having a dance tonight and me and my friends want more energy. WHat foods should we have for dinner that will give us the most energy and not make us have cramps and feel tired?

Avoid food high in salt, as they will make you feel bloated and retain water. Have high fiber, high carb snacks throughout the afternoon, and avoid eating a huge meal right before the dance. Here are some ideas:
-peanut butter on whole grain crackers
-raw veggies and dip
-whole wheat pasta salad
-iced mocha (not high carb or fiber, but it can't hurt!)
Have fun!

If you have access to some, I'd suggest having an 'XS Energy Drink'. They're great. They contain no sugar, no carbs, and about 8 calories. You get your energy from a surplus of B vitamins. This allows you to maintain a high energy level without the after effect grogginess.

starches. potatos, corn, pastas, breads..carbs higher on the glycemic index basically. easy to digest and the body converts them quickly to energy.then, before you leave have some fresh fruit, like an orange. freshens the breath and gives an instant sugar spike to start the night on a natural energy high. just check your teeth. ;)
