men have a hard time with knowing the meaning lady because ,when we treat them with a door being open for them they have a cow, and say I can do it my self or help them with thair chair. cant win.

Well, I'm a middle aged woman, so I don't know if I speak for the majority of women out there, but I think if a woman has a cow when a man does something nice for her (and I've seen women do that too) then she's not meeting the definition of a lady. I believe a lady would be polite and gracious, never rude.

It's a perspective relating to personalities, in my humble opinion.
Many women consider all men to be pigs.
Many men consider all women to be good for only 'one thing'...

You can be you own judge of who deserves the title 'Lady'.
There's a Jerry Lewis, "Hey laaaddyy!" type, a classy [but bogas] royality type, and there's a Dianne Sawyer type. But on the other hand we have 4 fingers and a thumb.
I think someone like Higgin's on 'Magnum, P.I.',a was quite the "Lady"!

wow i cannot believe a girl actually got mad at u for opening a door for her! if a girl does not want u to be nice to her, then be an *** and make her go away
