I have been in your shoes-I've been depressed for most of my life-from childhood on until I reached out to a mental health center & talked to a professional therapist to talk out what was upsetting me & to also find better coping skills. At first I was in such bad shape that I DID want to commit suicide, but that's because I didn't know there was help out there. So I honored a contract with my therapist that I'd call her if I felt like killing myself & called her & she talked me into coming in to see her & she felt that I would harm myself if left alone, so she had me check in to a pysch. hospital until I could get to feeling better. There are medications out there that help depressed people - but that's not all the answer-popping pill. You still have to talk out things regularly for things to get better. I've been lonely, too. I felt no one knew the immense sad that I had inside me that I couldn't show to anybody, but once I felt comfortable with my therapist I did start talking about what I had felt my whole life. She was great, she let me take it in bite size pieces so it wouldn't overwhelm me & set me back. I would urge you to find some counselling somewhere where you feel comfortable & if it doesn't work out the first time, try again somewhere else, because there IS help out there for people, if they only reach out & trust the process. You won't feel happy right away, but the more you work out your emotions with therapy, the more coping skills you can pull out when you are feeling blue or lonely. You'll be able to have a list of people to call or things to do to distract you that you like to do & then you won't notice how much time passes. BUT KEEP ON TRYING! I WISH YOU THE BEST!

Keep reaching out. Keep a routine. Go to work or school every day. Write up your routine and post it to the fridge. Go to bed at the same time every day. Read before bed. Turn off the TV. Get houseplants. Talk to your doctor. Call the distress line in the phone book. Remember that we're all put on this planet for a reason.

Make an appointment to see your doctor. He/she will offer you some medication and maybe some sort of therapy. There is a lot of help out there. If you want to talk about it confidentially then phone the "Samaritans" who are there 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. Their No.is 08457 909090 or if you are from the US, put 44 before it. There are many people out there who feel like you do, but there are also many people who can help. Please don't despair.

Fate is cruel, but life is good. Remember, life is a gift, and should be treasured like one. If you are lonely, remember that even strangers like I care about you and what happens to you because everyone has potential to do something great. Set yourself a goal of what you want to do with your life and fulfill it. Do you want to help others? Or just find someone to be happy with? Whatever it is, you can find hope anywhere. Find a haven, such as religion, friends or family. Or write in a notebook of your feelings and experiences. Oh, and get a therapist. They can help tons. Believe me. They helped me.
Good luck.

What we are doing right now helps my loneliness.I know that I am talking to people that need me. If you would like my E mail address let me know. I would love to have a new friend.

Yes, See a docor and perhaps you may need anti-depressants.
If this is allready the case than you need to change or add different types of therapy.
