Do dumb people get on your nerves? You know what kind of people I'm talking about, right? The ones who look baffled when you are explaining something to them that's not even rocket science? The kind of people who are so ill-informed about current events, anthropology, religion, etc that debating with them is like trying to reason with a 2 year old? Some people can't even find where they live on a map! I know this lady who thought Canada was a state! I even have a friend who didn't know the difference between Iraq, Afghanistan, Saddam, Bin Laden. I am by no means a genius but at least I am well-informed about the world with live in, politics, history, etc.

Say to your self over and over again and meditate on the following;

"When ignorance is bliss, tis' folly to be wise.

Eventually, you will enter into a state of equilibrium and oneness with the universe you find yourself therefore finding resolve to your questions.
Maybe you will even come into a knowing (a level of intimacy) with the facts that all things belong, fit, deserves respect or consideration. Maybe you will understand and have an element of mercy for them even if they can't conceive of what such intellectual nuances entail.
Maybe you with your enlightened psyche can humbly and wisely shine the light in the darkness of their ignorance.
But then you would ruin the party now wouldn't you?
Parties are best in the dark, or so I've heard.
Then again, the "party" does depend on several variables; reason for the event, host/hostess, venue/location, invitees/attendees, time of the day held, etc.
So, I've said all of that to say this;
People are entitled to their ignorance as equally as you are entitled to judge them. However, when you judge someone it is akin to pointing the finger at that person. Look at your hand, you'll find four fingers pointing back at you.
My question to you is: If you know they are not "well informed" why are you trying to conduct an intellectual conversation with them? Is it maybe because it puffs up your chest hairs and makes you feel superior?
Life's too short man, talk about the weather or something that isn't "rocket science". It is a sign of the true nature of a man when he can converse with kings and naves and paupers too.

To understand reality is not the same as to know about outward events. It is to perceive the essential nature of things. The best-informed man is not necessarily the wisest. Indeed there is a danger that precisely in the multiplicity of his knowledge he will lose sight of what is essential. But on the other hand, knowledge of an apparently trivial detail quite often makes it possible to see into the depth of things. And so the wise man will seek to acquire the best possible knowledge about events, but always without becoming dependent upon this knowledge. To recognize the significant in the factual is wisdom.

No, not the person. Let it serve as a reminder that not everyone is like you. Some folks don't care if their english is sloppy, like 'aint' or double negatives like "I ain't got no..." ugh It's sad that folks get out of 12th grade and can't even speak correctly, but it's probably tracable to their home life (perhaps the news or current events or proper grammar are void in their homes, their parents as well) and their schools. I am constantly amazed at how many adults graduate without being able to know you're from your or too from to.

I agree with you, but you shouldn't let it bother you that much. Some people don't value an education, but they are good in other aspects of life and everyone plays a role in the development of the country and individual communities whether you realize it or not.

Oh, and you should check out a movie called "Idiocracy" if you want to see what would happen if the entire world were stupid...

Well Mr. Braniac, Everyone knows a lot of stuff, they just know different stuff, .

What you are interested in, you know the subject.
What they are interested in, they know the subject.
You would look just as dumb in their eyes, if they were talking about what they understood and you didn't.

lighten up, there is so much information and opinion in the world, no-one has a hope of knowing more than a very small peice.

Yes, some people are very ill-informed, their lack of intelligence is so insulting and abominablly distracting, I often wonder which educational facility they attended if any. It's as if all their brain cells have been removed and replaced with sub-terranial ones, inferior beings,

yeah I know what that is like. I remember sitting on my school bus having arguements with people who wouldn't except that Jesus was Jewish. It was so stupid, eveyone back then was Jewish, he was called king of the Jews. Christianity didn't really form untill several years after his death. But most of the time I talk to people who have the same intellect, or won't start arguments with stupid people

I kno exactly how u feel. My sis is just like that. Sometimes I feel dumber just listening to her talk. The worst part is, she thinks she's really smart, and gets pissed off if anyone makes fun of how dumb she is. She can't even spell intelligent, let alone act it.

Hola 7!

Eine Liebe! (one love). I feel you dawg. some people are just intellectually challenged BUT still claim to be the sh*t on top of that...

I agree they are stupid and top there is scheisse(sh**)... they are right to think that they are the sh*t because they are..

Then there is us, people who say statements based on facts. I feel scared because the world only holds a few of us...

I cannot possibly say much as it has already been said

I don't think that it's a matter of ones level of intelligence, rather than the fact that some people just don't care about the world around them or they may just be misinformed
