It won't do much. I have dark brown hair also, but my hair is prone to naturally red highlights. The lemon juice method really only works for blondes

The lemon juice will lighten your hair b/c of the citric acids in it. The lightening process will only work though if u sit in the sun for a few hours after applying the lemon, without going in the water or anything. i have dark brown hair also and every summer i put lemon juice in my hair when im at the lake and it works great. i suggest taking a new small spray bottle from the store and it filling it half way w/ water. then either squeeze the lemon juice out of a few lemons directly into the bottle or use a fruit juicer to take the juice out of the lemons and then pour it in the bottle. after the lemon juice, i squeeze in some of my daily conditioner to keep my hair soft and silky, then shake the bottle and your ready to go. i use garnier or pantene pro-v conditioners.

I know what yoy mean I have dark brown hair. That won't do it though. It'll turn it orange. You have ot get it professionally done b/c you can't go lighter with the hair dyes you can buy at the store or things at home. I got highlights of a honey color and they had to bleach those peices first, then put the color in. There's no way to just go lighter brown. You'll end up with an orange color.

Lemon juice won't do much. You have to sit in the sun for a long time, and it is very sticky. And it is permanent, like using peroxide. Get some advice from your hairdresser the next time you get a cut. Or try some boxed nonpermanent colors or highlights that you can do at home.

regrettably, dark brown/black dye is toughest to lighten, yet no longer impossible. in case you used a demi/semi everlasting dye, then try shampooing some extra situations with a shampoo no longer formulated to keep/advance dyes. this could fade the colour, yet of direction won't get rid of it thoroughly. yet another decision for going lighter after a gloomy dye interest is shade stripping which could be achieved at a expert salon and can be high priced (around $200). After having the dye bleached out, your stylist will additionally could redye your hair to the colour you pick (close to on your organic shade or the colour you invisioned interior the 1st place). remember that this could be a harsh technique and could reason injury including breakage often times. A variation in this could be to have a stylist upload highlights to the dark shade to break it up. of direction, you need to continuously include your new dark hair shade and placed on it proudly till time fades it clearly. ;)

Well, for sure lemon juice will dry your hair out! Maybe it will lighten also. Rinse with honey and it will also lighten without drying. Add a glob of pure honey to a 8/12 oz bottle of water, shake well to mix and use as your final rinse. It lighten my black hair a little, which was NOT what I wanted, and added great moisture! It mixes right into water when shaken well.

It will lighten your hair but only if you sit in the sun a few hours after you spray lemon juice on your hair.

Lemon juice won't do anything to your hair. You cannot temporarily lighten your hair. Anything you do to lighten your hair is a permanent change. You can deposit color temporarily, but not strip it of it's natural pigment.

I would find a stylist that specializes in coloring hair. With technology today, they can take your picture, and apply it to a computer program that will allow you to choose from thousands of colors and infinite shades. This way it will allow you to see yourself with the new shade before you do it!

It will probably turn it orange. Don't take the risk - go to a professional, or at least buy a proven color kit from the drug store!
