You could... but the effect would not last too long and it would be difficult to achieve this look with only a curling iron. All you need is a bit of damp weather and it would all come tumbling down and looking ratty. The key is you saying your hair is thick. This usually means heavy hair, it tends to drag the curl out of styles like this. It is best if you see a salon close to you and ask their advice. I am speaking of the results with a curling iron on hair like that from my own experience. It did not last and just looked untidy before it was even a couple of hours old. Good luck. Hope you find the right solution.

Cheers,

Lisa

start with freshly washed hair. While still wet add mousse or setting lotion. Then you can either roll it in med to large rollers and then dry it or blow it dry first and use a 1" or larger curling iron. Experiment with it prior to any special occasion so you know what to do, how long it will take, etc.

it would deffinetly be hard b/c of your straight hair but i would try after u get out of the shower, comb your hair and apply de-frizzer (try John Freida Frizz Ease) then put large sponge rollers in your and spray with a heat activated styliant (try Rusk internal resrtucture W8less) then use a blow dryer to to dry the hair around the rollers. When totally dry take out rollers anf spray with a hair spray (try Suave unscented extra-hold hairspray) good luck!!!!!! if all else fails go to the salon and get their advice.

it is really nice, I'm not very good at doing my own hair so I would go to a stylist.
Just how they do it closely and then you should be able to do it from home.
hope this helps

Bring this picture to the salon and tell them that you want that hair style.
