Well, there is nothing wrong with accepting a date. Is it a complete stranger that just called your number? If so, then do NOT go anywhere with him, unless you want to end up on a milk carton somewhere. Is it some guy you know, but never had the guts to ask you out in person? Then sure, why not, but be aware of the fact that if someone didn't have the courage to ask you out in person, they'll probably make a shy and nervous date.
