I feel for you. I had the same problem and it wasn't until I finally cut an artery and almost died that I stopped. The desire to do it sometimes arises and what stops me is that I dont want to die I only want to make the emotional pain go away. So many different people tried to tell me different things I can do to stop cutting.. reading, writing about how I feel (which made me want to do it more), walking.. nothing works unless its something you'd like to work. Find something that truly makes you happy or makes you relaxed. Not something someone else wants you to do. Then, when you get the desire to hurt yourself, do the activity instead. Some things that work for me are..
-Looking in the mirror and telling myself its not right, or Im too good of a person to do it (sounds corny but it works)
-Taking a walk ALONE.. somewhere secluded or somewhere that doesn't have many people so I can be alone and think.
-Writing poetry.
-Looking up things on the internet
-Finding something to look forward to (an event, a job, school, aaannyything)
-Doing my hair, my nails, getting ready and dressed up.
I hope these help you. I hope one day you find another way to express pain, and that one day the pain is no longer there =)

yes. Get help. I know, blah blah blah

But really. Don't you want to be happy? Truly relaxed and happy with your life? You can have that. You really, really can. You can wake up and be fine, have a good day, and go to bed satisfied that you are at peace with the world around you.

Help is out there for a reason. There are lots of folks like you. Lots. Medications and treatments progress and are improved daily. There are lots of possibilites for you. Make the change now. Talk to a doctor. Go, go go go go go.

If you wait another year, living like this, but find help in a year, you will be so sorry you didn't put YOU first and do something to make your life better now. Stop wasting time, drowning in this. Go.

Don't concentrate on ending the self injury, concentrate on healing whatever problem is causing you to do it. I didn't stop until my depression got better and it's still the first thing that crosses my mind when I start to go back down. Get treatment, counseling, if not medication. It's not an easy thing to conquer and help is always good.

Of course you're not okay. You know that - you don't need people on Yahoo Answers to tell you that.

Very few people are able to stop self-injurying on their own. Get counseling, and get it NOW. If nothing else, call a suicide hotline and get a referral.

You need to seek professional help and get to the root of the pain you are hiding inside. Talk to your family about it, if you don't feel comfortable with them, talk to a counselor to receive the help you need. You're not alone, many people have the same problem. I hope you get better soon!

Is there any person in your life you trust enough to talk to...

Make a list of 3 things you can do instead of hurting yourself and carry that list with you everywhere. Make ice cubes and suck on them when you can't get out of the house.

Do you want to stop?

Get professional help. You are not strong enough to fight this battle alone. Be proud, see the end as being happy and find the means to accomplish success.

I know this will sound TOO simple but: Its YOUR brain and YOUR body. Control them.

Don't fall victim to your own thoughts. Change your pattern of concious AND subconcious thinking. Seek help if you need to. Figure out what is triggering you, and fix it.

Yes, but maybe it's not what you want to hear.......talk to your parents about it. If you can. Otherwise talk to a school counselor or other psychologist about it. Your meaning to hurt yourself means that you are not happy with yourself for some reason.
