When I still had my natural dark brown hair colour and had blonde highlights, everyone called me blonde whether I liked it or not.
I called myself a brunette with streaks so I would call you the same.

blonde highlights doesnt mean your blonde.
if you have light brown hair, i'd call you a brunette. or light brown, like you say. if you have redish tones, maybe i'd say red-head. depends....

but your not blonde

I would call you a copper browlonde. That is the color my hair. It is an actual hair color you know! I wouldn't call you a brunette though because brunette have a reddish brown or darker than that

A professional opinion....

You are a natural brunette with blonde highlights.

But if it does make you feel better you are not what we hairstylists call a natural blonde.

I'd say brunette, unless you have excessive highlights which make you look blond then I'd say blond.
