In my opinion, of course, the best way to get over any heartbreak, is to take time alone, and reflect on the relationship, but not too much time alone.

Being with friends, and family, can be too much pressure when trying to mend ones heart after a heartbreak, especially after the ending of along relationship.

Try and focus on what was good about the relationship, and what experiences you gained that can both strengthen your character, and improve your future relationship/s.

It is very important, when taking time alone, to learn, once again to love your self and love your own company enough that your dependency on your ex is no longer there.

The loss that causes heart break is generally as a result of feeling eperation anxiety, and of the depedency that you had from both the relationship and the person whim whom shared your life.

Try not to move too fast into any new relationship, and beware of your patterns that made you make the mistakes that you did make.

On the good side, you will love again, soon, I hope, and when you do, your heart break will just be a past memory, and good reminder of how to take care of yourself first in any relationship.

If you are feeling bad about how you allowed yourself to be fooled by the lying and deceit, I also suggest that you seek talk therapy as a solution for re-building your self esteem.

Happiness is something we need to find from within, and not from others. The people around us should add to our happiness, not is the source of the happiness.

Wishing a speedy come back!

I will never forget what my sweeties mother said about me in the open in front of my friends by the movie theater that really hit my heart, as they drove away my sweetie with her hands on the inside window as tears where flowing from her eyes. This was truly my biggest heart brake ever. Her mother tore us apart. Shortly, thereafter out of town they moved. Time was on my side and did mend this. I had to place this in the archives of my mind. Interesting enough it really was only yesterday that for reasons I do not understand that file had emerged and opened. I said to myself "If her mother could see me now". I purged the file and burned it.

Of interest to you: Let nature take it course, keep busy,do not dwell. The reality of it all, is that you or someone else will make the most precious find ever and that is you. someone who is true, someone who will love you.
And for Pete's sake, be glad that other person is gone.

I am trying to figure out the same thing I am dealing with the same thing! I know it is best but, how I stay away it is hard! All I can think of is stay busy as much as possible! I am hoping that will help me! Who knows I cant help but think of what is going on! I think it is just time over time the hurt will go away and you will meet someone that will be good to you!

Nothing help me get over the pain but hurt until it went away. Now another thing you can do is fill the relationship with someone new and it sometimes resolve the aching pains.

I went to the gym and worked out on my body. I focused in school and tried to keep myself going everyday. My friends and family helped me through some parts. But it was mostly me telling myself that I knew it wasn't meant to be and eventually life will straighten itself out. I thought the world was over and no one could tell me otherwise, but it all takes time.

I left the country. Will never totally be over it, but I have a lot of new and different things to do and think about now, so it's not such a big deal.

i did as virginia did. working out daily helped me tremendously in that it sweat out the 'nervous energy' accumulating inside. i stopped crying at night too during that time, maybe all those endorphine..and it feels so good to look at youself in the mirror and see the physical improvement, its a moral booster. also, i did everything i wasnt 'allowed'to do when i was with him and it feels good. i stumbled upon my ex 9 months after the whole thing ended and he doesnt even affect me anymore. it was amazing.
