The harsh treatment of the Germans after the end of WW I, the imperial desires of Japan and the great depression.
All of which lead the the rise of fascism and communism. vs capitalism.

,The need for resources for Japan, since they had no ability to make steel, the majority of there iron, coal came from the U.S., the oil as well, and other countries, And with Germany, Hitler wanted POWER, The Third Reich's goal was to gain the world for a 1000 years, Hilter's syphllis caused all kinds of goofy things in his head, The one thing that no body really realizes is that if Hitler had let his Generals run the war Britain wouldv'e lost the battle of the skies, and there safe little island, and the U.S. would've , couldv'e never entered the European Theater through Britain, they wouldv'e had to fight the war from the russian side which would've made the war last longer, and the Germans would've controlled the Atlantic. It's just lucky that Hitler had his metal issues, but if he had been a rational man the world would have been a different place. Eveyone should feel grateful to all who died before us, and for us, so we have our present way of life. FDR knew we had to get into the conflict because he knew that if we remained a isolationist country that if we ever needed help from anyone there would be noone to help, US, and WE the people of this country would either be speaking japanese, or German, Oh and another is if the Japanese had had better Admirals besides Yamamoto, that had guts, and they had carried invasion troops, and continued the Second wave attacks on Honolulu, They couldv'e captured the Island and controlled the Pacific ocean, and with 100,000 man invasion fleet they wouldv'e held it for years.

That is a huge question. Our involvement really starts to come to a head when our merchant ships start getting attacked by U boats. What it really took for us to get full into the war was the contributions made by the film industry and the extrodinary amount of propoganda that went into convincing the public that we needed to go to war. I wasn't there, but I can imagine that we had some loyalty to France for helping us during the Revollutionary war and our relations with England where good. In the interests of commerce we needed those countries to be freed, it was hurting our economy. I guess it really boiled down to dollars and cents, the apparent end of genocidal attrocities was something we learned about after the war was well under way, and when we did we played it to the hilt. Like an afterthought to make us feel better that in the end we slaughtered 200,000 germans in Berlin equiped with a total of 19,000 rifles in 3 days. Mostly civilians, not soldiers. There were attrocities commited on both sides, but the victor writes the history books. Not many people know about the German and Japanese prison camps that we had in the Northwest. Montana, Idaho, Washington all housed prisoners of war. What ever happened to them?
I guess the cause of WWII would be the same as any other war, humans not talking it through.

dolphin is wrong, the first half anyway. that was world war one. the causes of world war 2 was the immense amount of influence hitler had over germany because of his promising to bring them out of their depression (caused by the unreasonable reparation demands from France and Britain). mussolini, fascist leader of italy, invaded ethiopia, hitler invaded austria, allied with the soviet union, violated the treaty of versailles by building an army and taking the disarmed rhineland, took the sudetenland because britain and france weren't ready for war, and invaded poland, which drew britain and france into the war via pact. the japanese saw the us as a major barricade in reigning supreme over the pacific, so they decided to try to take us out the picture. they didn't realize that we have more than one port on the west coast. ha, silly japanese.

The reasons of international war 2 may be divided into long term reasons and short term reasons. There may be little question that between the long term reasons of the war grew to become into the anger felt in Weimar Germany that grew to become into brought about by technique of the Treaty of Versailles. yet another long term reason grew to become into the obtrusive lack of ability of the League of countries to handle significant international subject concerns. in the 1930’s those could have been in Manchuria and Abyssinia. In the two conflicts the League confirmed that it grew to become into no longer able to regulate those powers that worked exterior of common international regulation. on the topic of Manchuria it grew to become into Japan and in Abyssinia it grew to become into Mussolini’s Italy. Hopes this enables :D
