It depends on your previous health state. If have not had any any previous respiratory problems like severe asthma or bronchitis, you will feel comfortable in most mountains. By the way, if you have not experienced any respiratory problems during a plane flight recently, you will feel the same in, say, Sierra Nevada. What you might also check with your doctor, if you are really serious about this is you Red Blood Count and Hemoglobin (the stuff in your blood, responsible for transferring oxygen from lungs to tissues).
There are some mountains in this world that are high enough to require additional oxygen supply, but these are usually climbed by highly trained sportsmen that are aware of this. So, if you are a generally healthy person just going on a trip to some highland village, there is nothing to worry about. You also might consult your doctor to be sure.

The oxygen percentage does not change but the change in pressure means there is less air to breath. If you suffer from respiratory problems where you live now then they may increase in the mountains. How high into the mountains are you going? If you will be less than a mile high, you will probably have little difficulty. Simply take things easy and do things more slowly. Don't over exert yourself and you should be okay.

Their is no question of knowing you. It is a universal truth. Yes you can ask how much you will suffer due to deficiency of oxygen? Get your respiratory volume checked & any doc will tell you what will happen with you on high altitude.
