God is made up of three personalities; the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost). All three are seen in verses like Matthew 3:16-17.
1 John 5:7 says, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." The "Word" is a reference to Jesus. (John 1:1-14, 1 John 1:1)
Many do not understand how there can be three, but still only one.
The man known as "Saint Patrick" described it as a clover leaf. Each petal on the leaf is clover. One part is not more or less clover than the others, and there are three parts (petals), but together they make up only one clover.
Another way to describe it is as light. Natural light is colorless, but if you shine it through a prism, you can see it is made up of many colors of light. There is blue light, yellow light, red light, etc. Many colors of light together make up the one light. For the complete colorless, natural light, you have to have the balance of all of these colors together. One light made up of many parts.
God is One God. His parts (personalities) are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Who is God? Exodus 6:3, Psalm 83:18, Isaiah 45:18
Who is Jesus? John 14:28, Matthew 16:15-17, Colossians 1:15, 16
God and Jesus are two different beings with two different names, Jehovah and Jesus. Jehovah is the only one referred to in the bible as "God Almighty". Jesus never is. Jehovah is the only one who knows all things. Even Jesus admits this- Matthew 24:36
Don't let a man- made idea like the trinity confuse you. Study the bible carefully! BTW, any reference to John 5:7 and the whole "...in heaven, the Father, the Word (or Son) and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one" is complete baloney!. That potion of verse has been PROVEN to be spurious and added there by trinitarians before the KJV was translated. It's called the Comma Johanneum, and it is false scripture! Check it out if you don't believe me!

The Christians believe in a Trinity - Father, Son (that would be Jesus) and Holy Spirit. So Jesus is *part* of God. I guess. The Christians think that you can only get to heaven and to God THROUGH Jesus. The Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet.
Now if you care... I believe that God is the Power of Love. Jesus was a really cool guy who had a very keen sense of understanding regarding the Power of Love. But if you don't believe that he is the son of God - you will not go to hell. Well - I don't believe in hell.

Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are called the Godhead. They are unified in purpose. Each has an important assignment in the plan of salvation. Our Heavenly Father is our Father and ruler. Jesus Christ is our Savior. The Holy Ghost is the revealer and testifier of all truth.

that depends on religion. christians believe that god=jesus=the holy spirit, and that the earth was made by god, we were saved by jesus and the holy spirit gives us life when we born and that he is still among us. they also believe that they are the 3 persons of god. the jews, for example don't believe that jesus was divine in any way and believe that he was a simple person. now it's up to you what to believe.

well let me clear this one up for you then, buddy.....see, catholics believe that Jesus and God are one. Jesus was portrayed as the son of God, but was really God in the flesh. Jesus is the savior, he is God, I mean he is the comando ---a real bag of chips. The trinity = one. human, spirit, father/son = you guessed it!!!! jesus!
I think some Christians truly believe that Jesus was the son of God and if you believe in him you'll be saved and forgiven and all that jazz......others, my friend don't have a freaking clue. they're just guessing. I had 13 years of Catholic school and then some. I've many christian friends....I agree with none of them.

It depends on what you personally believe. I'm Jewish so I believe G-d is G-d while J*sus is not god, just a mortal man who lived thousands of years ago.
If you're Chr*stian you believe that G-d and J*sus are the same thing.
