I have been working out for a little over 2 weeks now. I work out everyday.

I do 30 minutes on the eliptical machine, 30 minutes of weight training, 15 minutes of ab workouts, and then another 30 on the eliptical machine.

So far I have only lost about 5 pounds. I do see a LITTLE difference in how my clothes fit but its way less than I thought.

I am eating much better (hardly any breads or sugars) I eat fruit and vegetables and drink water.

Why is it taking so long to see a bigger difference in my body? Should I change my workout?

Thank you!

Also, my goal is weight loss, not really to build too much muscle

Considering the fact that healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week, then you are right on target for what you should have achieved at this point. The key to an fitness program is PATIENCE. You will begin to see difference in your clothes in about a month

I had this trouble a few months ago. The way I was helped is I changed the speed and the intensity of the workout. I also started going both forward and backwards... it works different leg muscles. The more you put into changing it up - the better it works. At least thats what worked for me!

hey u 5 lbs is pretty good! i started to work out maybe 3 mths ago and only go 1-2 or hardly 3 times a week and i work on the elliptical a lot-- and i just think i lost inches-- which is better than anything and keep in mind-- you probably gained muscle in ur legs and that of course weighs more than fat!! but you are doing well

I would suggest you eliminate soda, and if u drink tea use a substitute sweetener. sodium sacharin is fine. also you can use aproduct called cinch as a daily food supplement that will be sake and help your metabolism. I take it and it is working for me. go to shaklee.com and order using ch10411 as ur i.d. number. It may seem pricey but isn't when u look at shaklee as a whole and realize just how excellent their products are. and drink lots of water before the workout. if you want to, you can also use shaklee's cinch protein powder, for breakfast. just look at the cinch plan. you will like it.

5 pounds, you are right on track.

The body doesn't work that way - giving immediate results. It takes time, and it's slow and steady (when you do it right).

You are doing it right, so keep at it. Also, other people will notice the changes before you will, since it will be so gradual.

Two weeks is nothing. Losing 5 lbs in two weeks is huge.

Patience. If you're looking for more muscle, etc., etc., that sort of thing takes months to develop enough so you notice, not weeks.

have confidence me, pass coach wont get your legs massive and muscular. it particularly is going to in basic terms tone it...you will see some definition. And once you do it consistently, it particularly is going to help you drop your physique fat. I dont be attentive to what you advise by skill of dream legs whether it particularly is going to tone it. yet weight training your legs will make it seem much extra perfect. If the "dream legs" skill you pick legs of a type, then you could weight prepare and shop doing aerobic.
