Well my dear Zebra. There was the story about Monkeys with hammers that must have devolutionized into the monkeys we have today so the Homosapien God Zap is an easy stretch.
ROFL!

I believe the Adam and Eve story literally. I do not belive it is symbolic and there was actually a first man and a first woman. The scriptures refer that they were made from the earth or clay. If you think about it, our bodies are just that--all the different elements which are found in the earth. It is nearly a tabernacle for our spirits to dwell. How did God create these tabernacles from the elements? I don't think we'll know that one until the next life BUT I don't think we have much do with the monkeys. If we have been created in the image of God I would say monkeys are apart from that!

God didn't zap any monkeys. He created humans indirectly by creating the process of evolution, which he knew would lead to us. There never was an ACTUAL Adam and Eve. That creation story is symbolic.

The Pope, Catholic Church, Church of britain and mainstream church homes all settle for the huge bang and evolution! Lord Carey the former Archbishop of Canterbury placed it ok – “Creationism is the fruit of a fundamentalist mindset to scripture, ignoring scholarship and severe studying, and sophisticated diverse understandings of certainty”! intense-high quality that christians and atheists can agree and snigger mutually even whether it is at fundie rate! yet in the back of the laughter is the melancholy on the fundamentalists striving so complicated to break christianity by skill of turning it from a faith to an ideology! Surveys advise that 29% of yank christians are so extremist of their ideals that they fall nicely outdoors of the everyday bounds of christianity!
