I'm a teen and I'm going to make over my room to be my dream room. I'm really into fashion, and I want it to be very nice-almost contemporary. How should I paint? What kind of flooring? What should I include? My room is pretty small, and this room has to get me through at least 4 more years. Thank you.

I love the chocolate and dark pink-or- blue/teal color combo. Its very chic! Its easy to find those colors. I also love a Moroccan themed room, you can get a cool canopy and make a reading are for yourself with a bunch of pillows on the floor. Use rich, bright colored fabrics with the little mirrors.

Hey There!

I was just browsing around on Yahoo Answers and came across this question of yours.

IKEA has a ton of options for a very contemporary room and is very reasonable. You could do a nice hardwood to open up the room depending on what you like. Stick to lighter colors to make your room look larger - you could also do one accent wall that is a different color than the rest. Also a bed that sits very low will help open up the room. Accent pillows and accessories will really pop and make your room look GREAT!

I also wanted to mention that I’m an IKEA Regional Manager and was informed of a private website at my last regional managers meeting that ended up to be a promotion we’re doing.

This website is giving away several hundred $1,000 IKEA Giftcards for just putting in your zipcode. It’s a marketing campaign they are doing to see what areas of the country people are interested in IKEA!

You can’t go wrong… Just put in your zipcode and get a $1,000 IKEA Giftcard.

Heck, you could even get the FREE Giftcard and sell it on ebay and go buy stuff somewhere else with the money you just made!

You might try some new colors. You can faux the walls easily an give the room a whole new look. I reccomend using semi-gloss latex paint. Make new curtains easily with a cool new rod and the clips for fabric that fit the rod. Then get a comforter for your bed and sheets that match or compliment the comforter. use the clips on the sheets to create curtains and some neat ribbon for tie backs.
