I met a girl online and we are supposed to meet somewhere tonight. Should we meet at a bar or what? It will be an after-dinner meeting so I'm not sure.

You met her on line. Did you get any idea what her likes and dislikes are? If not get ahold of her by email or phone and ask her where she would like to meet. This would give her the option of choosing someplace that she is more comfortable with. I suggest somewhere that will be easy to talk to each other(like others have suggested - Starbucks). The first date that you meet face to face is a get to know you date. Come up with a couple of other places ahead of time to go after talking for awhile(a comedy club, a bar with a live band, etc.) While talking to her give her the options you have come up with and let her choose. This lets her know that her opinion is important to you and lets her set the pace for the evening. Good Luck.

At a bar&grill homie incase you two want a drink or two no need to go else where just order a beer and go from there not to quiet or loud place to go just the right vibe but choose a good one to go to.good luck..!

not someone sleezy or super cheap... you wanna make a good impression... so maybe a nice coffee shop like starbucks avoid bars and what not.
