Why am I so upset with my boyfriend, he made a stupid comment yesterday and later apologized for it but...?

I'm still angry about it!!! I am going to whine so sorry in advance. He made a stupid comment that offended me and when I get upset with him he gets angry with me that I am upset. Usually the fact that he thinks I have no right to be upset drowns out the initial reason I became upset in the first place, as a result I don't feel like there is any resolution and I feel like it is pointless to express my negative feelings. Later he did apologize, not for what he said but for hurting my feelings. I appreciate the apology but I also do not feel the issue is resolved. I get these twinges of incredible anger where I am just sooo pissed off at him. I want advice on what to do: should I talk to him about it? Am I being rediculous? Has this happened to you? Any advice or comment is welcome.

Seriously, any advice would help.

I think you are over-reacting! We all ssometimes make stupid remarks intentionally or unintentionally which do not warrant getting too upset and making too much noises about them. I understand why they should be little bit upsetting for you because they came from your bf. OK. But as long as they are stupid, as you yourself have ranked them, and the guy has apologized why do you want to make a mountaion out of it? Shouldn't you accept the apoloy and move on, by telling him not to do it again?

You don't even tell us the content of the remarks, possibly because they are stupid! Fair enough. But why nagging on and on?!! Tell him that you felt offended, which you probably had and that is the reason for his apology. That should be the end of this little episode,and move on. Please, do not wreck your relationship for this little incident.Because if you do he might feel that you are over sensitive and that you are not for him.
