Gerbils tend to be very social animals, so it's technically possible, but the idea is very risky. A male and female would be fine (as long as you have homes lined up for babies regularly, or have a petstore who agrees to take them) and two females would probably okay, but as soon as you have more than two it can be a very bad idea to mix genders because they get teratorial and fight over mating rights and pregnant females are very moody and the whole thing might turn out badly.

That's not to say it's not possible, but I definitely don't recommend it because of the risks. Getting two gerbil cages is much safer and that way you can keep either the girls together or one girl and the guy. Have fun, and god luck with your gerbils!

Pair them. You want to add a male for the other female.. that will give you 2 pair of Gerbils. The only way you can have a Gerbil group is siblings..(born and raised together). ANY same sex Gerbil will fight and kill the weaker one unless they are immediate family.. WARNING, do not take one out of the cage and put it back the next day... it becomes an invader and will be killed.

No, because the females will both get pregnant and then you will end up with more babies than you can cope with.
