I just got a tattoo yesterday on my stomic, I was wondering if i'm aloud to work out. I'm aksing because you are not supose to get your tattoo wet, but if you sweat would that hurt it? Thanks!

Might want to let the redness die down first. Sweat would probably irritate the wound more than anything. Some light exercises would be fine I'm sure.

well i have 7, well 8 if you count my eyebrows, but all of mine except my eyebrows were done at home. When I got my eyebrows done all she told me was to put the ointment on thick over the areas while in the shower and not to let the shower hit the tattoo directly, because the pressure of the water could push the ink out. But that was only for three days. All my others I just went about my normal business but while showering I did put a lot of ointment on and they all came out fine. Also for my eyebrows she told me to use neosporin, but out on the street they tell you to use A&D ointment. The neosporin makes a scab because that's what it is intended to do for healing, the other type just keeps the tattoo wet while it heals. But they definately tell you not to use vaseline, that's old school.

Sweat is natural and from your body-it contains many of the same ingredients as blood, so no, sweat won't hurt it. But DO NOT do sit-ups or anything that bends the tattooed area much-it can cause strange scabbing, seperation of the ink, and ugly lines in your tatt. My friend did that, and it looked like she had skin-colored stripes all through her tattoo.
Not to be rude, but if you are indeed old enough to get a tattoo, you should also be old enough to know how to spell.

Sweat wont hurt it, chaffing from your clothes will pull the scabs off prematurely which may pull some color with it. One question why on the stomach?? What happens if you have kids in the future, your tattoo will look like one big ugly blob. You do realize that??

I have never had a Tattoo but some are religious,I suggest you also find more infromation about what the symbols mean before you put them on your body ,for all you know it could be a symbol of evil religious practices or a symbol for Saitan ,I dont think you want to go in that area so dont make those mistakes find out first with any Tattoo in what they mean!!

first i dont know who told you not to tget it wet but that is crazy. you are supose to wash it 2 times a day, you arent supose to soak in a tub oranything like that. working out is prolly going to irritate it you are going to be bending and stretching and a tatoo is an open sore. call your tattoo artist and see what they say. they are the experts!!!!

I have a large tattoo on my stomach to.
It is ok to work out. You need to put on the cream they recomended first, dont let your work out gear rub on it as the color might ruin.
Then have a shower straight away after you work out.
The cream i was recomended was Bepanthen for tattoos.
Be really careful about your clothes rubbing tattoo until it is completely healed
