I don't think that quote neccessarily makes sense. I love my son and if my disgusting ex husband tried to take him from me, I would fight to the death, and NOT let him go. Because I love him so much. And I am a far better parent. Here are some quotes I like:
"Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem."
I think that one is so true.
"Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all."
Same goes for the second time around.

i don't agree with your quote... if you love something or Someone you should fight for it to stay, do your best to keep it, but after you do that and it goes nevertheless then you have nothing to dwell about...
