i'm allergic to my cat as a manner to maintain him in particular allergen loose I bathe him each and every 2 weeks. There are easily no problems. i don't wash his face or his ears. i take advantage of an allergen lowering cleansing soap from the puppy keep, yet you ought to use any kitten shampoo or johnsons toddler shampoo. My advice (what works for me) is to make a bubble tub interior the kitchen sink. placed a towel down on the backside and confirm you utilize a beneficiant quantity of the cleansing soap. Then dunk the kitten in unbelievable onto it by using the scruff (gently) do not dunk his head! Then constantly protecting a hand below his abdomen in between his front legs, use your different hand to bathe interior the cleansing soap and out with the airborne dirt and dust. After this drain the water and use the sprayer to rinse the kitten clean. determine you get out each and every of the cleansing soap so the kitten isn't itchy. Wrap the kitten in a heat towel and dry it off besides as you are able to. Brush the kitten after toweling and returned whilst this is totally dry. the toughest section is getting the cat moist, after that it is not so undesirable. determine you lay a towel interior the kitten's favourite sound asleep or hiding place.

I agree with Lucky Me. You should wait until the kitty is 2 months old before you give it a bath. Kitties do need a bath every once in a while. Some don't clean themselves completely. Let me tell you the bathwipes that Lucky Me suggested work wonders. I use those on my 2 kittys and I love it. I don't have to deal with teeth and claws while I'm giving them a bath. All you do is put the wipe in your hand and start petting the kitty.

Kittens don't really need 'baths' from their owners. The mama kitten cleans & grooms them w/her furry tongue. When they're on their own, kittens groom themselves naturally -- that how they take a bath. Their furry rough tongues act like a brush & comb.

The best thing to do is to go to Walmart and get the bathwipes for dogs/cats. Then you can "bathe" her when she is 2 months old. Those things have no water involved so there is no need to call the SWAT team for help. She will simply think you are rubbing her. I use them for my 2 girls and they are so wonderful. In under 2 minutes, they are shiny and clean and I still get to keep all my skin and blood right where it belongs.

Normally you do not bathe cats. If you cat really needs to bathed and groomed (shaved due to matted hair, nails clipped, etc. ) let a professional do it. This cause some cats such stress they have to be put under anesthesia to have it done.

When I first got my cat, it was the first one that I had ever owned. I went to PetSmart and spent a lot of money on advice books. One said to give them baths.
I asked my vet the same question and he said there is no need to give them baths as they are self cleaning.

You can also use baby wipes. They're cheaper than the ones for pets.
