The term "trinity" will not be found in the scriptures. It was term that was invented in the 5th century. The Bible uses the term "Godhead".

The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead. He is a spirit that has the form and likeness of a man. He can be in only one place at a time, but his influence can be everywhere at the same time.

Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are called the Godhead. They are unified in purpose. Each has an important assignment in the plan of salvation. Our Heavenly Father is our Father and ruler. Jesus Christ is our Savior. The Holy Ghost is the revealer and testifier of all truth.

The Holy Ghost is our Heavenly Father's messenger and is a special gift to us.

According to the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit, sent by God, is the divine principle of activity in the world. For Christians the Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity, which is three aspects of God, consisting of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Able to bestow gifts on individuals, especially the gift of prophecy, the Holy Spirit aided in the conception of Jesus (Matt. 1:18-20); descended to Jesus at his baptism .
The Holy Spirit :
speaks (Acts 13:2),
intercedes (Romans 8:26),
testifies (John 15:26)
guides (John 16:13),
commands (Acts 16:6,7),
appoints (Acts 20:28),
leads (Romans 8:14),
reproves and convicts of sin (John 16:8).
seals God's promise in believers' hearts (Ephesians 1:13-14)
shapes the individual's and community's life to Christ's (Romans 8:1-17) In Scripture, the Holy Spirit has intellect, emotions, and will, and can be grieved. This gives the Spirit a personality.
The Spirit can act in whatever manner the Spirit wants to act. The Spirit generally acts through the church, but doesn't have to; the Wind blows where it will. The Spirit also doesn't have to always be seriously focused on those purposes; the Spirit's got a playful side.
We worship one God in Trinity and Trinity in Unity, neither confounding the Persons nor dividing the substance. For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Ghost; but the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is all one, the glory equal, the majesty co-eternal. The Father is made of none, neither created nor begotten; the Son is of the Father alone, not made, nor created, but begotten; the Holy Ghost is of the Father and of the Son, neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding.

"WHO is the Holy Spirit?" is the correct correection.

The Holy Spirit is part of God; the person of the Divine Trinity who is currently at work on Earth. The Holy Spirit is the Guide, Convicter, Heightener of conscience, Giver of Spiritual gifts and wisdom, messenger of the Father....(He has a heavy workload!)

and the Trinity isn't easy to express in English properly. The word used to describe the Holy Trinity is "parakletos", from the Greek: the best English translations are "of the same essense" and "one of the same". So they're not separate, but distinct. they have different personalities and roles, but all make up God, are in/of/from eachother, and are all equal. Not MPD, three distinct persons.

HS is the Guide, JC is the way, Father is the destination, who works through you through the Holy Spirit. Perfect cycle.

The Holy Spirit is like a manifestation of God. The Trinity is 3 beings in one God. It's not like 3 different gods. I guess you could say it is just one God. Only they are seen in human history as three different individuals. In history, we see God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ. But technically, there all one, just shown in different aspects of being so that they can relate to the situations they are.
You might want to talk to someone like a priest or someone for more information.

Think of the three-leaf clover. It has three leaves, but is one single plant. This is how St. Patrick explained the Trinity to the pagan peoples of Ireland. It works!!! And the Holy Spirit is one of the three "branches" of the Trinity.

God is like an egg. (not literally)
an egg has 3 parts: the yolk, the white and the shell but its all an egg. so God has 3 parts: the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit but it's still all God. get it?

Jesus, God and the holy spirirt are separate. Exodus 33:20 states that "No man may see God and live"... Yet we have proof that Jesus was here on earth. This is just one scripture that proves that Jesus was not God.

Now as for the holy spirit. That is God's active force. It is not an individual, but a tool that is used to accomplish his will.

I hope this answers your question.

the holy spirit is Jehovah's active force. it is Jehovah the Father, Jesus Christ the son and Jehovah's active force, they are not one and the same. Jesus prayed to his Father in the heavens when he was on earth, also Jesus said he cannot do anything with out the Father, so they are not the same

The Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost are the same.

Matthew 1:18 - Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 1:20 - But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus was conceived in her of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 3:11 - I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Jesus shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Matthew 12:31 - Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Matthew 12:32 - And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

The blasphemy was that the jews said the miracles performed by Jesus were performed through the power of satan and denying the power of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

We are baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
