Dogs will chew on grass or plants if they feel "out of sorts" in order to induce vomiting. In most cases, this is normal and should stop after a short while.
If your dogs are "house dogs", check your indoor plants for evidence of being chewed. There are a lot of indoor plants that are poison to animals. This could be the cause.

I don't know whether you feed your dog table scraps or not, but if you do perhaps you should go on a strict dog food diet for a while. I can calm down the stomach a great deal. Also, don't let them get anywhere near the garbage. That is one of the worst things they can do, b/c they can get hold of about a billion things that could either make them sick or at worst kill them. If you think they may have injested something really harmful like a household cleaner or something, you should really take them to the vet. Other than that, I just hope they get better.

They might just have sensitive stomachs/digestive areas, like some people. My dog, a St.Bernard, will gag/vomit about once a week, why I don't know, she just gets nausea, she'll come over to me staring intently to go out, I let her out, she goes to this one plant in my yard, and she eats the leaves. A moment or two later, she "vomits", but it's bright yellow bile. I talked to the vet, he said, dogs are like people, some get irritable bowel, some get ulcers, some just get an upset stomach. This is a good reason to not feed people food to dogs, so many do this and it's just so rough on the dogs digestive system, and some foods are actually toxic to them, chocolate is one. We feed only quality dog food, it's a fish/potatoe blend we purchase from the vet, we also feed Innova Health Bars. She loves them! She really shows how much she really does understand when I break one of these out, she is ready to sit, roll over, shake hands, whatever she knows all at once, it's pretty funny to see her reaction. Good luck.

Dogs are a lot like people. If there vomitting right after eating somethings wrong. If not it would be the food or just an upset stomach try Pepto-Bismol. You could also try add carrots to their diet.

Is the vomit containing food, hair or foamy (white or blackish)? This can make the difference on what to do. In the mean time watch them and when you consult or take them to the vet, have a sample of the vomit available for them to check. It can be anything from a simple upset stomach to cancer.

Could it be that they haven't eaten before they throw up? Sometimes a dog will vomit yellow foamy bile on an empty stomach. Is this happening when they wake up in the a.m.?
