It is all based on nonsense, and we are well past the times where it was used as a means of mass control to the illiterate masses. It does nothing more thn cause wars these days.

Not believing in a book of fairy tales and not being moral are not that same thing.

Why don't we outlaw people and questions like yours?

Answer: The Constitution. This is the first ammendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE therefore, or abriding the freedom of speech, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievences. RATIFIED ON 12/15/1791

What do you think of that??

You can't outlaw religion without outlawing freedom of thought, speech, and basically the first amendment. Some fundamentalists and Christian reconstructionists (aka the American Taliban) would like to do the same thing so that they can force everyone to follow their religion. By saying that you want to force everyone to be non-religious, you are no better than they are.

Religion can't be outlawed. Religion is a balief, it's just a thought. How can you possibly make it illegal to think ?
Open worship and churches can be made illegal, but some will still remain religious without showing it.
I'm non-religious but I'm practical. It's impossible to stop a person from thinking because you can't prove that he has illegal thoughts in his head.
Your question should be - - - Why don't we discourage religion ? Not outlaw.

Good luck with that. Russia, China, and France have all tried to ban religion or restrict it to the point of being nonexistent. People still continue to love God and worship Him in the privacy of their own hearts and homes. They are willing to suffer and die for Him, and they don't consider Him to be "nonsense."

That's because He is the Truth, and the truth eventually wins out, no matter how much the darkness wants to destroy it.

Wars are caused by people like you. Who have no faith and are idiots with no morals and can't accept the fact that different people have different values and different cultures.
Religion is the most important factor in our lives today. Truth is, somepeople would lose their sanity without it. I mean, what else can explain the unexplained. To people like us, who need to feel in control and safe, we rely on different things to explain things we can't understand. Then there's faith, and then there's the truth about each religion. But thats going into theology.

I completely agree with you. And I would therefore call you a Spiritualist.

P.S. where have all the spiritualists gone? You are absolutely right. People are too ignorant and close-minded to understand what you mean. Don't let them bother you.

Because one of the purposes of laws is to reflect the values of society, so as to achieve social cohesion. Since most people believe in this nonsense, it wouldn't reflect the values of society to outlaw it. It wouldn't work anyway.

Maybe , you will get your wish in the future. I read somewhere in the bible that there would be a time in the end times where there is a starvation of the word of God , world wide. The word "starvation" that I chose is not quote , unquote,...........as I can not remember exactly how it was worded.

if you feel that way you should move to "somewhere" besides America. This is what America is, freedom of speech and choices. Religion itself is not causing war, its the people arguing over it.
