I would tell them. They are going to have to fix it. It sucks that you have to drive that far to get them fixed. . .but it is for the best. After a while it could worsen and cause more damage.
Best of luck :)

Anytime something breaks or comes off and isn't repaired or replaced immediately, it prolongs your orthodontics and throws off your treatment. One tooth without the bracket will allow the others to move as planned, but not that one. Which means that it could get way out of position by next visit and then need extra time to move it back into correct alignment with the others to move forward with your treatment. I would tell your parents so they can contact the orthodontist for his advice on this. Three hours or three extra months in braces? Hmmm That's a big question only you can answer. Which sounds better to you? Good luck and hope I was of some help.

Additional info: Your orthodontist may have a Ortho doctor friend closer to you who could cement the bracket back on for him, never hurts to ask. I know I've done it for other dentist patients before.

You should prabaly tell your parents and have them call your orthdontist, but my orthodontist says that he will fix brakets the next time we go in so it won't be an extra drive to the orthodontist. hope this helps

I would tell them. Imagine if something happened to that bracket and it ends up costing MORE than if you would have gone to the dentist sooner.

Tell them! It can cause your teeth to become out of wack if you leave it alone. Your parents should be understanding!
