I like to buy fresh cilantro for my recipies. After only a day it's severely wilted, and after 3 days it's very dead looking. I tried to spritz it in the fridge (recreating the grocery store habitat) each morning. I've even frozen it after a day, and it saves alright frozen, but looses that light green color. Is there a tip out there to keep it fresher, longer?

just roll it tightly in slightly damp paper towel, and store in the veggie drawer in a zipper bag. I store all of my herbs this way. Easier still, is to grow your own, and only pinch off what you need. I have lovely herbs growing in pots all around the house

Two suggestions:
1. Place it in a bowl of water or a vase like you would with roses and put it on the counter
2. Blow up the plastic bag like a balloon and put it in the fridge - since the fridge dries things out, it will just take out the air and not dry out the cilantro.

I have found that keeping cilantro in a wide bottom jar with the cilantro standing in about 1 to 2 inches of water in the refrigerator, keeps it fresh for about a week sometimes. My mother kept hers in water on the counter changing the water daily. I hope that I have been of some help to you in this matter.

it sounds like your fridge temp may be too low - I recommend getting a fridge thermometer to help you out - I did that and all of my produce lasts at least through the week!
