She most likely has an upper respiratory infection which needs a veterinary care. Cats cannot catch a cold from humans or vice versa

Cat's can definately catch colds, though I don't know whether they can pass the colds to humans. Though, I have to say, my cat has caught a lot of colds in the past b/c of the crappy whether up her and I was never infected by any of them. Either way, if her eyes are mucky, you should get eye drops from your vet for her, along w/ some cold medicine.

Yes, some disease are what they call "zoonotic" and can pass between humans and felines (or other creatures). Zoonotic dieases are rarely life threatening though, you just have to be careful like you would being around a sick person, wash your hands when you handle her water bowl and litter box, or if you touch any other of her secretions or excretions.
Influenza A can be passed from humans to animals and back again. Although not the common cold, symptoms can be similar.
Colds caused by Coronaviruses, a rather common cause of the cold in humans, can be zoonotic. SARS falls into this category.
In terms of viruses, you can never be sure. Even if they do not "catch" your cold or flu, they may become a carrier of it, and pass it on to someone else. It is best when you are sick, or your cat is, to treat it like any other member of your family and limit exposure, until a few days after the symptoms subside, just to be safe.

I never heard of a cat catching a human cold. But as far as the sneezing and mucky eyes sounds more like a URI. If that's the case I would take her to a Hospital ASAP.

I am not a vet, but I have asked that same question to different vets several times. I am always told 'no'. They can catch a version of the cold virus, but not from a human. There several reasons why kittie is sneezy, but catching a cold from a human isn't one of them. Good luck

I was always told by my vet that a cat can catch a cold from you. However you cannot catch a cold from them, so I always try to be very careful. Since she is 14, and a senior cat, I would not wait too long to visit my vet, as she may need an antibiotic. Hope she will feel better soon.

No, but they do catch colds. Just not the same bacteria that infects humans. Take her to the vet as other more serious things can look like colds.

No, but she could have an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to flu in humans. You need to take her to a vet, she'll be placed on antibiotics to fight off the infection.

Recently, my cat seemed to have a cold. He even had laryngitis. When he tried to meow, he hardly made any sound. It was pretty weird.
