A little over six thousand years ago according to Bishop Usher.

James Ussher (sometimes spelled Usher) (4 January 1581–21 March 1656) was Anglican Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland between 1625–1656 and a prolific religious scholar who most famously published a chronology which calculated the date of Creation as October 22, 4004 BC.

However, according to geneticists, our genetic Adam lived about sixty thousand years ago, while our genetic Eve lived about one hundred fifty thousand years ago.

That is like asking when did Hansel and Gretel live. It is pretty tough pin pointing the life span of fictional characters.
