My daughter and every student in the school really has said at one point or another that the school counsler does nothing to solve their issues. He just makes up a lame excuse to leave them alone together so they can "work it out" and doesn't even talk to them or try to help them understand why they feel a certain way or why another student acts a certain way. So when he returns expecting them to of made up, they just pretend everythings ok so they can get out of there because he never helps them at all! My daughter says she just says "yea ok everythings just fine now thank you" and leaves really feeling discouraged because he doesn't really help them at all! I've talked with him about it and he says he wants to give them time to make up and I questioned him "But aren't they really just pretending to make up so they can just leave"? He seems to have this attitude like "so what's the problem?"Problem is it's just going to get worse if you don't REALLY help them with the problem! DUH!

Take it up with the principal, threaten a law suit against the school and threaten to take it to the papers if its not resolved. Kids are supposed to feel comfortable at school and safe. if they are not doing anything about it, become the squeaky wheel!

does he have a degree in counseling or just teaching. I would take it to the school board and tell them that your taxes are paying for someone who is incompetent. Young people need help to resolve issues not some lame excuse and if that doesn't work beat the hell out of him lol

report him to the school. They'll investigate whether or not he's doing his job. Either he'll step up and do the job he was hired for or he'll quit or get fired.
