My son was 4 when he was taken from me and adopted by a couple who I know nothing about and I am just wondering if there was a site that would let me put up my information if my son wants to contact me. He is 10 now and I pray that he will want to see me again someday. I miss him so much.

Please do not be cruel or rude because believe me I have put myself through enough or that and I have asked for forgiveness.

Try http://www.adopteeconnect.com. Thank goodness for the internet. It opens up so many options for people in the adoption triad.

Please don’t be hard on yourself. Don’t let anyone else put you down, either. What’s done is done. Prepare yourself for the possible reunion with your son, someday. In the meantime, take advantage of your ability to love and parent your other children.

Carefully, you may be able to look into contacting the adoptive parents. Assuming you had your parental rights terminated; they still may be open to you having some contact with your son. You may need some legal representation to set clear guidelines.

As a child of divorce, it is my personal belief that all people in a child’s life are important, even if some people are more positive influences than others. Research supports it, too.

If you can, find a copy of: Out of the Shadows: Birthfathers’ Stories by Mary Martin Mason. It is available on Amazon.com as well as many public libraries. I highly recommend that you read it.

Depending on how he was adopted some records are public record. My oldest child was adopted by my uncle and my wicked step aunt. I am not allowed to even speak about her. she was signed over when i hit rock bottom with my first husband. He destoried me mental and i had another child who was special needs. So I was not totally ready when they requested me to sign her over.
Please don't beat yourself up. and becareful. Adopted parnets turn into nasty people when you threaten their bonds. You might want to ask for a free consulation from a lawyer.
Was your right terminated and were you aware mental and not just prepared. you might be able to get an injuction to see him if you were not mental fit.
Good luck. if you need anything im me. i am around.
