I got a factory installation kit and wire harness but I don't know how to take off the front dashboard to get to the original stereo. I'm afraid of snapping it or breaking it. does anyone know how to take off the front plate? thank you

It's easier than it looks. There's a black bezel plate around the climate controls; it just pries off. Remove it and you'll see the screws that hold down the woodgrain panel around the climate controls and radio; remove the screws, pull out on the left end of the woodgrain panel and then move it to the left to release the tabs that hold the right edge.
