I just looked at your other questions. I hope you are NOT in the military because you have serious mental issues.

You need to see a psychiatrist.

Viet Nam vet. Anybody that has not been there will never give the right answer. I really got to the point that I was never coming back. Then when it was time to return home I didn't want to leave. In Viet Nam we went over there as individuals and came home the same way (not as a unit). You take it a day at a time and focus on your survival and that of your buddies. It really is a small percentage that will not come back. The odds are in your favor. It is a great deal of help if you are a Christian. I was not when I went there became one several years after returning. Good Luck

On the "bright" side, when you go, you know there is a possibility you could die, so you have a chance to prepare things. So do what you need to do here - say the things to the people here that you want them to know, prepare the things you want to prepare in case of death.

So many people go out to the supermarket and die in a car crash and leave so suddenly. In fact, some go to Iraq, survive, and come back and die in a car accident, and never get to say what they need to say or do what they need to do.

You can prepare for death by preparing for life and giving it your all, and feeling your damn well not going to die. Fear will kill you, but being pissed off might just keep you alive.

Good luck!

Why are we afraid to die? Because we don't know where we are going after we die. If we would know where we are going after we die, would could live our life here having the biggest question solved and so be more at peace.
Jesus offers us the gift of eternal life, living with Him forever in heaven. The only condition is to admit that we are sinners, accept his gift of paying for the punishment of our sins, and live in friendship with Him while we live on this earth.
Get yourself a New Testament, start reading the Gospel of John and ask God to enlighten you as you read.
Knowing Jesus as your personal friend is the greatest gift for this life and the life after death!!!

You pray, and then you don't worry. No matter where you're at, when it's your time to go, then you'll go. Don't be freaked out by this, don't let your thoughts over-run your mind. You'll get used to this eventually. We all had to go through this. Just concentrate on your job, keep your head down, stay prayed up and always be alert. You'll be ok. We're all keeping you in our prayers. I'm in Iraq too. Best of luck to you.

If your preparing to die you won't last 2 seconds.
