The word "pharmacia," which is a Greek word that we translate in the Bible "witchcraft" is the root word that we get the word drug from. It is no coincidence, there is a relationship. To influence another with any spirit (drug) that is not the Holy Spirit is witchcraft.
Bunny this is not about natural medications, those which are classified as herbal supplements, those are not classified as drugs by the FDA because they are natural and cannot be patented, thus they can not bring a profit to the
pharmaceutical companies. This is about the synthetic, patented brand name drugs, designer drugs, the drugs for profit, that are created by the big name pharmaceutical companies.

While I would agree that the big (and getting bigger) drug companies place far more value on profits than human health I hardly believe this was fore casted in the bible. Next you'll tell that given a bible quote and interpreting it with a desired outcome already in mind that the bible predicts the Cubs winning the World Series this year. That is the beauty of bible interpretations, you can make them 'say' almost whatever you want.

If your looking at Prophecy.. then look to Revelation.. and the Word tells us.. that global Harlot of Rev. 17.. that false 'christendom' ( utopian society) heaven on earth.. that will be allowed to propagate.. will use 'pharmacia'... 'sorcery' to control the masses... Really...I searched 12 Bibles and found no mention of it. You are listening to Propaganda from church dogma...not the Bible. It slays me that you insist I, as a Christian, MUST take the Bible literally but its okay for your church political groups to tell you this or that means that medicine is bad.
I have taken medicines since 1984 for panic, anxiety and depression. They have allowed me to live a good life and contribute to the good of others. I thank God for them. I know hundreds of other personally that do as well.

I believe that the word Pharmacia as used in the bible is talking about sorcery. Not medicine.

I know all of those companies were big time problems in the days that the bible was written. Jeez, do you know how dumb this sounds?
I am no friend of pharmaceutical companies, but dont drag the bible into it. It just makes you look stupid.
