Plasma TV burn in?
If it is that, you should have bought a DLP TV instead...

Depends on the type of screen you have-

LCD / Plasma ? Older Projection models might have this problem. (Especially if you are referring to the little channel logo in the corner of the screen). What you probably have is what is called "Burn In", when a single image is left stationary on your screen for a long period of time (the little channel logos in the corners of the screen are known for this), then the actual picture is almost burnt into your screen and thus you will see it all the time regardless of what you are watching.

If on the other hand you are getting a moving image (like an actual tv program) in the background while watching a DVD, you might want to check your wiring and connections to ensure you don't have any crossed wires or wrong connections.(this would assume you just hooked up your DVD to the TV or changed your wiring etc recently). Good luck.

Are you talking about DVDs you burned yourself, or commercial ones? If you burned some TV programs, you definitely will see TV channels from the TV stations. But if you are talking about DVDs you bought or rented, then it should not happen.

It might be as simple as hitting the "display" button on your TV's remote...I use to have the same problem with my Sony.
