i am a filipino girl.. i am here in canada.. but i can give you an advice..
you know what, it doesn't matter if you have turban or not.. just be friends with people that are nice.. you can really tell who are nice and not in there.. specially in cebu..
and dont let them make fun of you.. they dont have the right for that..
girl friend? definitely!! just be nice to them..
and most, 80% of girls in the philippines likes guys who courts them.. so go for it guy!

Like they say when in Rome do what the Romans do. Why do you have to wear a turban. Just take it off to look for a gf. Then when you get one you can put it back on. Again, I am not really knowlegeable of the Indian culture, but cultures that do not adjust die out. This is a proven fact. Just like the caste system is slowly dying out, but give it time.
Besides I think turban or not you should be able to meet someone nice.
