I use it just like I would a regular seasoning salt. It's pretty good for seasoning your fajita meats. And it's great for rices and soups too.

Happy cooking :)

abodo seasoning is a all purpose seasoning that is commonly used in Mexican kitchens. There are different kinds, some have lime mixed in the mix, and some don't, some might have pepper and some don't.
I use it with chicken, pork and beef steaks or fajitas, for meat most of the time I would also use fresh lime juice to marinate the meat too, is really good on the grill. If you like pork chops, I would suggest that you try pork steaks instead, sometimes cheaper in price and the meat taste SO good of the grill, marinate with freshly squeezed lime juice and abodo seasoning for at least 20-30 minutes and cook on the grill, chicken is good the same way, try using the legs with this recipe, if you like tortilla's put some fresh corn tortilla's on the grill and heat them, flipping them often till crunchy.. so yummy.

Adobo seasoning is great on meats, poultry, soups and rice. My daughter in law is from Ecuador in S. America and they use adobo on practically everything they cook. If you make grilled meats or poultry sprinkle Adobo, if you make soups, add Adobo and the soup will have a wonderful interesting flavor. Also when you make Rice and Beans, Adobo is a great addition to that dish.

It's really pretty basic stuff: Onion and garlic powder, black pepper, oregano, chili powder and cumin. So a chili powder blend comes close. If you have all this stuff, you can make your own mix: 3 Tbsp. salt 1 Tbsp. onion power 1 Tbsp. garlic powder 1 Tbsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. cumin Additions could include citrus zest and chipotle powder.

Adobo is just annato seed paste. You need to mix it with the juice of green oranges. They are not the sweet kind you normally find in your supermarket, the juice is sour. Another is to mix the paste in the blender with vinegar and use it to marinate chicken, pork or fish in the mixture and cook it. Tastes great. Once I even tasted beefsteak marinated in adobo and it was soo good.
