I am happier if they are free in the box. We used to play jokes on people by hooking all their paper chips together, then when they grab one, they all come out. daBunny

They are happiest when holding pieces of paper together. That is their purpose in life, so that is when they feel the most fulfilled. When they are hooking to each other, they are merely practicing for that big moment when they get to hold pieces of paper together!
