I'm looking at gas ranges, 48" models (dual oven & 6 burner + griddle) on top. We've been looking at dsc, wolf, viking, thermador, etc..

Personal experience would be best.

I absolutely love my Jenn-Air range. I have interchangeable components that can be swapped out. Usually I keep 3 burners and a 2 burner grill. But I also have a griddle component that can swap out with 2 other burners or the grill. It's just a wonderful range and the $1200 price tag wasn't that daunting considering how much use we get from it.

Hey There!

I was just browsing around on Yahoo Answers and came across this question of yours.

Wolf, Viking professional, and Subzero all have great ones. Also Dacor has some amazing ranges and ovens. IKEA carries several high end and very functional appliances.

I’m an IKEA Regional Manager and was informed of a private website at my last regional managers meeting that ended up to be a promotion we’re doing.

This website is giving away several hundred $1,000 IKEA Giftcards for just putting in your zipcode. It’s a marketing campaign they are doing to see what areas of the country people are interested in IKEA!

You can’t go wrong… Just put in your zipcode and get a $1,000 IKEA Giftcard.

Heck, you could even get the FREE Giftcard and sell it on ebay and go buy stuff somewhere else with the money you just made!

Your oven has something called a thermoelectric flame failure gadget (FFD) it is hooked as much as a gas valve, whilst the oven is lit it starts off on the 1st point (low flame) then whilst the FFD senses there's a flame it sends an exceedingly small electric present day to the gas valve which holds the valve totally open, that's what makes the burner 'flare up' and then starts off burning on 2d point. in the journey that your oven won't this '2d point' then the 1st element to alter is the flame failure gadget. If this does no longer something then the gas valve is at fault. wish this facilitates?? EDIT: in case you seem interior the lower back of the oven on the burner you will see what sounds like a small probe, this could be located in simple terms above the burner itself so it's going to experience the flame whilst the oven is lit. it is the FFD, strictly speaking you could call a Corgi registered engineer, the FFD is a significant secure practices gadget and should no longer particularly be fiddled with till your effectual to artwork on gas home equipment. maximum suitable advise, call a close-by engineer. wish this facilitates in some way......

Stay away from Ge. They work good at first, then slowly go down hill. Things brake and are expensive to repair.
