I am a grade 7 girl and I need to find an age appropriate speech topic that is completely original.
I have already done body image (eating disorders. etc.), Helen Keller, Millionaires and Billionaires, and obssesions so please don't suggest any of those or any bigographys. Thanks!

Try the Port Royal earthquake. The story is REALLY interesting (people getting sucked into the earth) and it really happened. (If you'll remember, Port Royal was the place where Jack Sparrow was prisoned by the Governor in Pirates of the Carribean!)

Good old grade 7.
1st Choice: Do the great barrier reef, it sounds boring as hell but it'll be the easiest and you will get a good mark for it because it is an Australian Icon and no matter what aspect you take on it, people will love it because it is so beautiful.
2nd Choice: Global warming, there is so much information about this topic so it would be easy to write and plus you would be talking about something happening in society and letting other kids your age know about what is happening.
3rd Choice: A type of music... E.g Rnb, Rock, Hip Hop or classical. It depends how long it goes for but say if it is a five minute speech, you could play an excerpt of a song and you only have to talk for another two minutes.
4th Choice: Surfing, no one doesn't like surfing and you could play a surfing dvd or cut out some sweet pictures.

-Music and it's influences, good or bad or not at all
Or twist an origional topic:

-Canniblism - what makes people do it? (There's an eating disorder for you)
